Barrande-Vltava-2022

Home

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the International Advisory Board and of the Local Organization Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to participate in the 11th Barrande-Vltava French-Czech Chemistry Meeting on 28–30 August 2022, which will be held at the Université de Bourgogne in Dijon, France.

This two-day scientific symposium, organized under the auspices of the Embassy of France in the Czech Republic and the Société Chimique de France, will cover many aspects of chemical sciences. The programme includes 10 plenary (40 min) and 10 invited (25 min) lectures at parity between prominent Czech and French speakers, together with 18 oral communications (10 min). All the participants, including speakers, will have the opportunity to present their work as a poster.

One of the aims of the Barrande-Vltava Meetings is to structure and strengthen the French-Czech relationships in chemistry, fostering thereby privileged exchanges between researchers, teachers and institutions. Gathering around 60–100 participants each year in a friendly atmosphere, this series of colloquia, launched in 2010, has already favoured the emergence of new bilateral collaborations, exchanges of students and researchers, co-supervision of PhD's, invited professorships, but also the signature of double-diploma agreements at the master and doctorate levels.

Three years after the last jubilee meeting held in Prague, the delay caused by covid-19 pandemic, this 11th edition will provide an ideal forum for sharing new ideas, highlighting the fruits of the on-going bilateral networking activities, and giving the opportunity to talented young chemists to discuss their latest results.

I am looking forward to welcoming you in Dijon in August.

Michel Meyer
Chair of the 11th Barrande-Vltava Organizing Committee
