Call for Abstracts

All registered participants who would like to present their work as an oral communication and/or a poster are invited to submit an abstract by July 10, 2022 using the on-line submission form. To facilitate discussions, each speaker is also entitled to present a poster.

Abstracts must be written in English and should not exceed 1 page. Please use the provided Word TEMPLATE without changing the format

Submission procedure:

  1. Login to your SciencesConf account (to create your account, press the scroll-down button next to the "Login" icon on the top of the page).
  2. Under "My space", enter the "Submission" menu and follow the instructions.
  3. At stage one, the preference for oral or poster presentation is asked.
  4. At stage 2, please enter one by one all the authors of your abstract together with their affiliation and specify who is the corresponding and the presenting author (it should be the same person).
  5. At stage 3, upload your pdf file (alternatively, you can upload a word file that will be automatically converted into a pdf one). Please, check for consistency.
  6. Upload also the native word file in the "Supplementary data" section.
  7. At stage 4, you finalize your submission. You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of the abstract by the Barrande-Vltava 2022 secretariat. You can modify your abstract until the submission deadline announced in the News.

All abstracts for either oral or poster presentations will be peer-reviewed by the Organizing Committee for their acceptance. The notification of acceptance will be emailed within two-weeks after the submission deadline. Each participant can submit only one abstract and full payment of the registration fee is required for acceptance.

The length of the different contributions are:

  • Plenary lectures (PL)                 40 min, including 5 min for discussions
  • Keynote lectures (IL)                25 min, including 5 min for discussions
  • Oral communications (OC)    10 min without questions but discussions during the poster session

Each speaker is entitled to present a poster.

We kindly ask the presenters to keep their talk strictly within the scheduled timetable.

Authors are requested not to use their personal computers – both PC and Mac will be available. If any specific facility should be required, please contact the conference secretariat in advance. PowerPoint files with oral presentations should be given to the organizers as early as possible, latest before the first lecture on the day of the talk.

The maximum posters size should be A0 (841 × 1189 mm) in portrait orientation (landscape posters will not be accepted).

We encourage all presenting authors to put a picture of themselves in the upper corner of the poster – the quick identification of the author will favor scientific discussions. A poster number will be assigned to each abstract and will be notified to the presenting author along with the day and session of presentation. Posters will be exposed during the entire duration of the meeting at the entrance of the lecture hall. Fixtures for plastic boards will be provided.
